Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
