Ways the Broncos together with the 'play-dough' quarterback could stop that Kansas City Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes text commentary of the weekend matchups via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard through designated networks covering a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the football calendar and following last week's discussion about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being possible championship contenders, they both lost their perfect starts.

Striking in those games were the amount of infractions both conceded. The Eagles did so in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the final quarter versus the Denver Broncos, who play in London this weekend.

However it proved positive to observe that Denver's QB the rookie was able to have the shortfall before direct three scoring drives in three attempts during the final period, securing the victory by four points.

Denver boast the top defender with CB their star corner. They are number one in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and Denver prevailed in that battle.

They executed effective strategies in terms of simulated pressure. They weren't always rushing more than four defenders but they could plug two linebackers in the interior before drop them out and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

At the start of the season, we said on a program how Denver might emerge as this season's dark horses. They finished last season well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has stepped up significantly and recent RB JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He now ranks 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) as well as tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

I love how head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

That shows how the Broncos represent a squad that wants to run first, because one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces down the pass rush and maintains in positive situations.

This has helped quarterback the young passer, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection last year, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to throw anywhere, however they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He has exceptional passing ability, which is different, and he's highly agile.

His assets include his mobility, being able to throw on the run, and using different arm angles to deliver the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver precision throws over the middle and past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got a lot of composure in the pocket and is not bothered by the blitz. He tries to avoid being tackled as much as possible and can throw under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.

If you consistently run the ball it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and when you've got a mobile QB the defense must defend the area downfield side to side. This proves draining.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline at times and it seems Payton likes that attitude, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's fun for him to have a rookie QB that is kind of like moldable clay. The coach can really develop him the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton owns a championship and has surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the success the Broncos are experiencing on offence is largely down to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the pairing with the QB helps shape him what he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they strong enough to face an elite team at full strength? Because that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely Denver are incredible. They're performing better than most, that's a solid position to be in their division. All they need is to continue this path.

They're really good at embracing their forte, which is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do against the New York Jets in London. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (10th worst), and they are the sole squad yet to win any game.

Since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the inaugural squad to go without a single takeaway in five outings, this is surprising considering that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes says Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, the Broncos have a smooth-ish schedule until their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus the Raiders before the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 so they could make a run for the top of the division.

This hinges upon what version of the Chiefs they meet because Denver {beat|def
